Custom Services

If you had a chance to view our "Special" area off the home page, you know we do mascots and walk-arounds. This section is geared to the more obvious human (or humanoid alien) beings. You can see some of our custom pieces in our "On-line costume catalog".

While we have a large selection of costumes, we don't have everything possible under the Milky Way. Not to worry, with advance notice (please, please, please!) we can engineer an outfit to your specifications. Best of all, you usually can just rent it, or -- if you wish -- buy it!

So, as with one client, if your daughter is having a Renaissance wedding and you want to go as Henry VIII, you can. The Victorian Santa Claus was created for a client introducing Christmas ornaments at an international gift show. The "Tosca" costume was created for an opera theme party, while "Lucy" was made for the hostess of a Halloween party.

And our Catwoman! Here we fitted and hand-stitched each of seven different outfits to seven different women. They were so pleased with the results that many have returned year after year for "their" special costume.

There's a good chance you've seen our custom work if you've visited California's better known theme parks or taken an ocean voyage on one of the top cruise lines. You'll also catch some of our work at the outdoor shows on the Las Vegas strip.

Whether you are an individual or representing a business, if something special is what you need, we welcome your inquiries.

Below is a series of photographs detailing the construction of two wire frame horses that were used for a theatrical production.

Horse 1

This photo shows a corner of the workshop with one of our "elves" beginning to cover the wire frame with muslin.

At this point the base fabric has been stitched tightly to the head and neck. The entire frame will be covered. Note, we caught the elf by surprise!

After the muslin, the frame is layered with felt and a golden skin. The horse begins to take shape.

Horse 4
Nearing completion, the two horses are
formally introduced to each other.

The completed silver horse, ready for it's rider.

Horse 6

These creations are destined to be the "knights" on opposing sides for a "full sized" Indian chess set.

This concludes our brief tour of Santa's little work shop.

The giant green bunny rabbit with wings and a halo
was not to be found!
